Kathakali is a spectacular classical dance-drama from the southern Indian state of Kerala, known for its vivid makeup, elaborate costumes, and expressive storytelling. The word Kathakali means “story-play,” combining dance, music, acting, and ritual to depict tales from the Hindu epics — primarily the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, located in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), is one of the richest and most revered Hindu temples in the world. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the deity is enshrined in the majestic Anantha Shayana posture — reclining on the serpent Adi Shesha.
